The Rosslyn Park Injury Trust RCN284089 was set up in 1981, shortly after the 19 year old captain of Llandovery College had a very serious injury playing rugby in the National Schoolboys Sevens at Rosslyn Park.

It was found that schoolboys had woefully inadequate insurance and the Trust was created to support sports people who have had life changing injuries. The boy from Llandovery College broke his neck and became reliant on a wheelchair for the rest of his life. The trust supported him following his accident and through his degree at university.

Whilst Rosslyn Park is a rugby club, the Rosslyn Park Injury Trust supports people who have had severe injuries through participation in any sport. It is not a big charity and is fundamentally grant-making. The 5  trustees consider grants to supply equipment that will help to make an injured sportsman or woman more independent or funds for rehabilitation programs and surgical operations that will improve their lives.

Although its origins were in rugby, and it bears the club name, the Rosslyn Park Injury Trust supports people who have had severe injuries through participation in any sport.
